Animation Brought to Life
Disney is constructing a new hotel complex called the Art of Animation Resort on the Walt Disney World Property that will house approximately 2,000 guests. The hotel will bring to life four animated movies from Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar: those films include Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Cars and The Lion King. The hotel rooms will be able to accommodate families with up to six members. From the preview pictures the hotel will truly be a one of a kind experience!
Redesigning the Skyline
One World Trade Center has surpassed the Empire State Building as the tallest building in Manhattan. The total height of One World Trade Center will be 1,776 feet tall with 104 floors, the third tallest building in the world.

Houston We’ve Landed
The Space Shuttle Enterprise named after the widely popular show Star Trek has landed at JFK International Airport where it will be temporarily housed until it is permanently stationed aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid. I personally have not been to the U.S.S. Intrepid but I plan to visit it once the Space Shuttle Enterprise is there! Did you know that the Enterprise was the first space orbiter built and was originally going to be named the Constitution?
Man Your Battle Stations
Battleship has been heavily promoting their film in the past couple weeks. Every time I see a commercial I get more and more excited. I keep imagining what these alien creatures look like since we only get a quick glimpse of their hands or eyes.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Welcomes Avatar!
It has been announced that Disney Parks is opening a new land within the Animal Kingdom theme park. This exciting new land will be based off the Avatar movies both present and future. Disney is working with James Cameron to design the land and attractions based off the current movie but also future ones. This is a great idea because instead of basing the themed land only off of one film it will based off all of them in pre-production. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013! What does everyone think?!
